WELCOME!

Welcome to "Duck Heroes"...originally from The Woodlands, TX (about 25 miles north of Houston).  We are a master planned community that cares for our environment and strives to live in harmony with nature. There are a lot of trees, a lot of ponds and...a lot of ducks! Although I recently moved to North Carolina, I'm still using my experience in The Woodlands for this website.

MISSION: 

We promote respect for the ducks in our local ponds and lakes.  This includes reminding people not to feed them and posting "Brake For Ducks" signs at ponds with heavy traffic nearby.  Through this website, we hope to educate not just our own community, but also share ideas with others facing similar "duck issues" in urban/suburban settings.

PHILOSOPHY: 

When a community encroaches upon a nature-rich environment for the sole purpose of enjoying that environment...they must become responsible stewards of the wildlife there.

It's all about respect...
